They'd split up soon enough anyway. Heck, christianity alone comes in hundreds of different brands, each convinced that it's right and the others are wrong.
I find it rather amusing that the bible is held up to be a crystal clear source of moral lessons, when you can find devout, true-believer christians on both sides of every controversial issue - abortion, death penalty, war, you name it. I'm not talking about just nominal christians either, I'm talking about the kind that study the bible, go to church every week, and pray every day.
If those guys can't agree on what's moral and what isn't, then what hope is there for agreeing on a single moral code by having all the monotheist religions merge?

a very slim possibility of that happening. While they claim decent from Abraham it was Moses that started the Monotheist idea of religion. by using only Yahweh as the name for God instead of Yahweh and Jehovah as the names of God.
The Jews don't believe yet that Jesus was the appointed messiah
the christians do and are getting it from both the Jews and the Musilims
the Muslims do mention Jesus as a teacher.
place your bets as the wheel goes round and round and nobody knows were the ball will land.

None of the 3 religions you named are monotheistic. Monotheism means a belief in a single god. A god is an immortal being with supernatural powers. Ordinarily they are invisible, although they may appear on special occasions. Both Christianity and Judaism believe in other immortal beings, in addition to Jahweh or Jehovah. Those beings are called angels and devils or demons. The demons are gods of evil. In addition, some of the Christians believe in saints, of which the Catholic Church recognizes about 10,000. The Muslims believe in immortal beings, in addition to Allah, called houris. The links below give more info on all those invisible beings.

Yes, I'm afraid you are dreaming. There's a lot of power and money behind each religion for them to merge. They'd lose their share of both. Besides, it's business to keep them apart, so they can claim to be the "right one" as opposed to the others. And anyway, IF they ever merged, that would not end wars. Religions are only the pretext for wars, not the real motive. The motive is always the same: money. Wars would end only if money disappeared.

You're right. This will never happen. I much more enjoy fantasizing about a society where monotheistic and polytheistic religions, as well as athiests and agnostics live with such an acceptance and love for one another.

Excellent idea! They worship the same God and have many similarities. They should look for ways to come together, instead of fighting over silly differences. Take it another step.... how about if all religions merged?

NEVER WILL HAPPEN. Jews reject Jesus, muhhamed and the holy trinity. Christians reject muhhamed. Muslims accept Jesus but reject his divinity and the holy trinity. Now way you can merge all without tainting you religous views and giving up something you believe in and were taught.

Merging is unlikely, but wouldn't it be nice if everyone could just let others be in peace? Now that is a possible dream.
