Do yourself a favor and forget about religion. You're to good to try to please any god that the people of this planet are offering to you.

The Holy Spirit is inside of you (a Spirit) and Outside of you.
If you have asked The Father to Fill you with the Holy Spirit after you got Born-Again, then HE has Permission to come into your Soul too. Try to stay Filled with the Spirit and you will do well.

Perhaps the first point of attack is identifying what the holy spirit is. Holy spirit is not a "He" as if to be another person, it is simply God's active force. The Bible clearly states that God created all things by means of his "Holy Spirit" and even as early as the Genesis account, the scriptures showed his spirit to be moving 'to and fro'. Genesis 1:2. No where does it say it to be another creature moving on its own recognisance. "Holy Spirit" is always refered to as 'belonging to God'. When you pray, it would be wise to pray for God's holy spirit to help you say the right things, give you wisdom and understanding and forgiveness for your shortcomings. By praying for God's holy spirit you are asking for God's help or rather 'his active force' to work on your behalf. Jesus outlined proper things to pray for in his model prayer found in Matthew chapter 6. Perhaps a good overview on that scripture would give you a sound foundation on how to pray and how God's holy spirit works when your prayers are made in a fine manner. Remember that taking in accurate knowledge certainly leads to God's spirit helping in these things so follow the council in John 17:3 and you will see God's holy spirit acting on your behalf.
