For school I have to do a 5-7 minute persuasive speech. She wants it to be about something controversial. I don't want to do anything really about politics or religion. Although, that cancels out basically everything. If you have ANY ideas please let me know!

I did a persuasive speech on playground safety. Remember every topic has a controversial side to it. Think it through. Good luck.

A golden soapbox opportunity! Make the most of this fo-shizzle.

1. Talk about why Gen IV nuclear reactors are the wave of the future, since they will make mass hydrogen production affordable and get us away from burning fossil fuels.
2. Talk about why celebrities shouldn't get away with murder just because they're rich.
3. Explore the concept of immigration and what its long term effects on America are. Come up with your ideas on how it should be handled and argue for it. Lots of ways to go with this.
4. Argue that reproduction should be banned. Humans are of no value and only destroy things.

In New York City, Wired magazine has an event called Nextfest where they have human-like robots performing. You could research that and have the speech start with "Where is technology going?" or "Where are we going with it?". Good Luck.
