Your problem is the shampoo. Dove Anti-Dan. is very drying. Any ant-dan. shampoo is drying and should be used only twice a week.Use conditioner also or better yet if that is to moist then use like a tamer Nexxus or some salon product.Paul Mitchal is awsome. Stop buying products at the store go to a salon for awhile and it will straighten out.Good Luck

Maybe because when you sleep, you're sleeping on your hair, and your body heat reacts with the water to like...steam, your hair.

I don't recommend it though. Use a conditioner and dry your hair with a hair dryer before you go to bed lest you get sick.

the hair can get greasy very easy if its over washed and during day your standing up mostly, (less blood flow to hair follicles)so i guess when you go to bed, your head/hair is resting and the blood flow is getting to your head easier as your not moving about and body using less energy at this point in time.

The reason its softer if you sleep on it and don't wash it in the morning is because there is more oil on your hair...the oil is produced all through the night, causing your hair to be softer.
