He's probably angry that you left him alone to spend so much time with your friends. Hun, next time try to remember that when you are on a date, then you are with THAT person, not your friends. Maybe you should have brought your friends over to him so that you could all hang together in a group, and he wouldn't have felt so lonely. Give him time to get over his anger, i'm sure he will come around.

I used to be shy at dances when I was in school too, and I still don't feel too comfortable dancing in public. Some people are just shy. He may have been watching you out there dancing and having a great time and wanted so badly to join in, but didn't want to be laughed at, especially in front of you. He may also have been embarrassed to be grounded in front of you.

Talk to him and let him know you care about him and didn't mean for him to feel uncomfortable. If he decides to go to another dance, practice with him first at your house and reassure him so he'll know he doesn't look like an idiot. You can at least get him to the point where he can dance to a slow song and won't be completely left out. In the meantime, sympathize with him about his grounding and when he's free again, go on a date you know he'll enjoy--such as to see a movie he picks out.

Good luck!

Don't feel bad because he messed up. He probably didn't dance because he was feeling guilty for being there in the first place. He shoulda told them he was going and I bet he'd have had a better time. At least smile that he got in trouble just to be your date:) . Next time make sure he's honest with his family first next time and you just might have a better time. Don't rub in his mistake either. Male ego's are sensitive. Just move past it. I"m sure he's a little embarrassed by it too. So next time you see him thank him for getting grounded to see you but it would be nice if he didn't lie again. Then let it go...

he looks like a person that doesn't have dignity and the most important is that he acts like a kid!!! I think that girls usually act like that, not boys. do not cry for stupid things. he should learn to be responsible and to solve his own problems. Now that you asked him to drive him, he feels like he is depending from another person maybe...let him alone for some days and see what happends. he looks really shy....
