1) Why did you convert to being a vegetarian? I don't remember I wanted to be one since I was in fourth grade and so a couple of months ago I did it without my mom knowing and now she knows but can't do anything about it!

2) Did anyone/anything specifically influence you to go veg.? Nope!

3) How do you feel about an animal eating another animal? (ex. a snake eating a mouse) I don't really care I just don't want to watch!

4) Is it proven that a vegetarian's diet is healthier than an omnivore's diet? I'm not quite sure about that probably not it is probably less heathy.

1. Trying to lose weight was one reason and another was that although my family likes my cooking, the one ingredient in every meal that I could do without is meat. The taste and textures were never really appealing to me. Not even as a young child.
2. I work with several vegetarians and since I practiced the eating style in the past, it was easy to go back to it since I wouldn't "stand out in the crowd" this time around.
3. I know the reality of the circle of life so it's no big deal for me to think about it, although I do get grossed out watching it. I still cook meat for my family too and see them eating it. It's my choice but I am comfortable with everyone else choosing what's right for them as well.
4. No. Even as a vegetarian I eat chocolate, sugar, caffeine, oil, butter and so on. I'm not a vegan so those things are included in my eating plan. Oh yeah and ice cream, cake, the list goes on.

I converted to vegetarianism to save my heart from my families genetic heart problems. I feel its ok for an animal to eat another animal because thats what we have to do. But humans dont need to hunt animals, they can just go to the store and buy entire cows if they feel the need. It is not proven entirely, vegetarians have some benefits like heart health, but omnivores can get all 18 amino acids.

I became vegetarian for health reasons. It is fine with me for snakes to eat vermiin like rats. Site below has more on the following. Fiber is important. All plant foods have plenty of fiber if it has not been taken out like with unholy grains (not whole grains). All animal foods have no fiber at all. 5,000 studies show that fruits and vegetables prevent cancer.

Meat can bring back cancer in people who have been cured of it. American Heart Assoc. (site has link) says not to eat more than 6 oz per day of meat, fish or poultry. That is maximum. No minimum meaning none of the above is OK, just don't eat more than that. Site has info on MD saying why animals foods are bad and why white meat is no better than red meat.

I had a duodenal ulcer for over 20 years. Family doctor said: no milk, no meat. I started a raw diet with lots of fresh made vegetable juices. No rice or pasta or bread or whatever was cooked. I'm free of ulcer now! I feel much better than 20-25 years ago, I look much younger, lost 11 kilos, full of energy, I have morning walks with my dog 12-15km and never tired.

animal eating another animal? that's OK, that's for survival.

My mother is one, she became one b/c our upstars neighbor is indian and did it for religious reasons, she copied her.
She doesnt like animals eating other ones and seems to have mentally blocked that part of nature.
