Ive had this parrot for about 3 months and the only way it has ever eaten is when I regurgitate in its mouth. I usually chew up a few worms and then feed it to parry ( My parrots name).

How long must I do this for?

iwww.avestint.com is a site where it tells you nutrition for the baby parrot and how to teach it to eat---like with a tea spoon or simply putting food in front of them. Until i did a quick search and found parrots do indeed eat worms thought you were a bit off in the head(LOL)but actually its commendable that you'd do it for the love of your parrot. But they also need fresh fruit and vegetables and Parrot Pellets. If you haven't then you should take your parrot to a Veterinarian that specializes in exotic pets and usually they are the best source of what to feed and how to care for the parrot(No cat and dog Vet-do not havea the knowldge or training)Please do not rely on pet stores as the font of your info for found they are not that knowledgeable although claim for their experience in a retail store counts more to get hired than their animal knowledge. You'll want to start giving your parrot now safe chew things to avoid their beak growing and eventually won't be able to eat-need to chew to wear down. Doesn't cost that much for a exam but the information you get from the specialized Vet will make you a responsible pet owner and ensure your parrot stays healthy and happy.Do not give puppy, kitten food for have too much iron which will eventually harm your pet-also mammal food so not formulated for a bird's needs -theres foods that are also harmful evven fatal -why so important you learn all the diet requirements. Happiness for the parrot and you

That is kind of unsanitary ins't it. you shouldn't regugitate for a long time or do it alot because it makes your teeth rot. The worm thng thats kind if gross, what is you chew up the worm and you swallow a little bit, and it harms you. You should go to Petco, or Petsmart, and ask what you should feed a 3 month parrot, and how.

I do hope you enjoy chewing up worms, as parrots live for up to 100 years (true!!) and are babies for approx. the first two to three years. So that means you will be chewing worms for at least a couple more years.

Etiquette makes me remind you to go to yahoo answers pets category, birds.
There will real help there.

Of course you know this, so etiquette says I'm to escort you to a mental hospital wing near you for observation. Sorry.

I think you should consult your local pet store or exotic animal veterinarian someone on here might give you the wrong info and cause you to kill your pet
