How do you love when your heart has been scarred by the one you truly love? How do you rebuild the pieces of your heart in order to give it fully to another? Is it possible, or is it just that you are never fully complete again after heartbreak? Do you ever fully recover and rebuild?

Ohhhhhhhh yes ya can!

Might take awhile...but you WILL. First you have to get yourself emotionally together...find a new hobby...(don't sulk)...get OUT...be around happy people, listen to happy music and watch movies that will make you laugh...happiness is contagious..you'll want that again..

Then?...get out there and start dating again...will be hard at first..but once you're out there...you start enjoying...keep things light at first - and be honest with the girls you date...that that is all you're looking for (for now)...DON'T chat about your scars and don't bring up the past to the girls you'll date...remember that. Sooner or later hon?...somebody you plant a casual kiss on ..is going to feel a little more than casual. Sooner or later ...some gal is going to turn your head and heart around again...and trust..you have to. Hope...without that? Can't find love again. Without love..life really sucks. Don't wallow...pick yourself up...break out the super-glue and put the pieces of your heart back together.
Good luck to you..and keep hope in that broken heart...somebody will come along and help you mend it..permanently.

cant say how to love again after something like that (coming from someone like that) it just depends on the person. and you dont rebuild the pieces you make new ones. no you're never truelly complete again but you do become whole again after meeting the right person. no one ever rebuilds or recovers from something like that, it just depends on how you deal with it. if you deal with it straight up you'll be better off because if you deal with it slow itll take a lot longer to love (truelly love) again. but also going to slow can cause you not to realize some things.

Not that this is truly an answer, but michael buble has a pretty good song about that...

I can think of younger days
When living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do
I could never see tomorrow
But I was never told about the sorrow
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart
And let me live again
I can still feel the breeze
That rustles through the trees
And misty memories of days gone by
We could never see tomorrow
No one said a word about the sorrow
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart
And let me live again

Eventually yes, only if you allow yourself to. It takes time to fully recover from a heartbreak. One day you will find your soul mate that is everything you've ever needed or wanted and that person will be your true love. Give it time.

the heart nvr recovers from the one u truly love. they will always have a piece of her heart, and there is nothing u can do about it. u can give ur heart to other poeple, but u can always get it bak- unless u truly loved them. then its lost forever

recover and rebuild? yes it took me 5 years.

time heals....and it helped me to make occasional contact with the guy. once out of the situation for awhile it gave me a whole new perspective on him....and how fortunate I was to be rid of him!

Don't hold the next guy responsible for what a previous love did.Start new with all new affections and feelings.
