I like this boy, but we're completely different. He's like a ghetto/rapper/hip hop type and I'm a rocker/emo type. We used to hang out more last year cause we had our own little group of a mix of hip hop/rockers and so I was around him more. But ever since one of my friends left the school, we all kind of fell apart and are in our own groups. I only ever talk to him in class, and thats maybe once or twice a week. He never really hung with us in the first place, but he was definately around. I know I pretty much have no chance with him, and I know it's not everyday you see a girl like me have feelings for a guy like him, but I do. And I don't know why!!
And he's always--for lack of a better word--flirting with me, but he does that to a lot of other girls.
What should I do???

usually when a boy is like that he is just fooling around to impress his buddies and does not want any thing to do with a relationship

well im more of a ghetto type girl, and one of my ex boyfriends was real bad into heavy metal. so that doesnt matter. as long as you guys get along thent here shouldnt be a problem. maybe when u do talk to him those few times, just bring up stuff like what do u have planned this weekend? stuff like that. and then just come right out and say, hey i know this really cool concert or movie (or whatever u know whats going on), do u think ud like to go see it? another thing, with the flirting, maybe to him its not flirting if he is supposedly doing it with alot of girls. or maybe he is a player. either way try to hang out with him more and see how that goes first. its always better to get to know someone better before you jump into a relationship. it could easily turn bad. but just be careful and do what your heart says. best of luck :D

Hmmm....I was in your shoes a few years ago...
Well, if he's a huge flirt, keep your eyes out for him being involved with other girls.
Ask him when theres the right moment if he likes you, be bold! Ask away hun! ^_^ And if you see that he's not really what you're looking for, keep searching, there are plenty of fish in the sea! Never forget that!

well if youre friends do you have his number? if you do, just call him up. be like, i miss hanging out with you (and if you dont wanna be so direct say and the rest of the group from last year). suggest hanging out really soon. i think thats the best way to make a transition from friends to more than friends.

You should try to get him alone and tell him how you are feeling and if he is feeling you the same way, then y'all could hook up but if he is not feeling you, just agree to be friends with him and understand that he is not the only fine man on the planet. Good luck:)

Flirt back, see where that takes you....
If he is interested he will bite, otherwise youre off the hook and wont look too foolish if you get turned down.

stay away from boys. all they do is cause problems later on... before you know it you'll have a question posted on marriage & divorce asking how to fix some stupid problem!
