Seems like most of them do NOT stay together. There are rare cases. I have a friend who married his H.S. sweetheart & they are happy.
My H S sweetheat turned out to be a heartless psycho! The last time I saw him, after I married my hubby, I told him it's a good thing we didn't get married, because it would have been a quick divorce!

Yes
He was very jealous and needed to know where I was and what I was doing at all times...he was totally free to do his thing and always got mad at me even if I was with my college major friends studying. He even tried to tell me that I did not need an education and said I'd be home with the kids and that's all I needed to do in life.
He went off and is a VP of a big corp...I became a college professor and married a successful lawyer..glad it did not work out....I am happily married for the past 26 years with 3 grown sons...must I say more.... That relationship would have been a disaster and would probably be divorced from him. He is now married to a woman who shares his professional interest and has one son the age of my youngest. I run into his mom occasionally and she always tells me that she wishes I was her daughter since we got along so well...the wife is a real cold person and she (his mom) keeps the peace to have a relationship with the grandson....that's life...his loss is my gain and sanity.....I would not change what I have now for him......

I had a high school sweetheart. He was the "big man on campus" and everyone wanted to go out with him, but he wanted me. He was gorgeous and a year older than I. He was becoming a "bad boy" and I was a good girl. We split because I was pretty pure and he wanted a girl who would satisfy his needs. He married and had something like 10 kids. He also got fat, lost his hair and is working as a janitor cleaning toilets. I've been told that he's embarrassed to see me, especially since I still look good. Oh well; I've been over him for years but still enjoy the memory of being part of the couple everyone wanted in high school.

Yes. Did not stay together because I wanted to play the field. Then I met my husband who was from another town and the rest is history, including any feelings for my high school sweetheart.

My HS sweetheart and I have been together for about 10 yrs, married for 5, and I love him more now than ever :) I wouldn't have ever thought we'd be together so long though LOL... we were (and still are) SO different. :) I guess our differences are what keep us close? Who knows... all I know is that I love being in love with him! This is a great question!

I really messed up mine, have been looking for him for many, many years, would love to know how he is doing, I do know he fulfilled most of his dreams that we once shared, except us being together. I would give anything to sit down one last time and have a long conversation, and explain why I did what I did. His name is so common that I have lost track of him for the last 10 years. I am just so glad that he stayed on track for most of his goals.

Yes I married her, 23 years we are married. Now in the process of a divorce and she is so nasty, I don't think she wants to let me go , but she listens to everyone but me. She forged my signature on 98,000.00 dollars worth of loans. I can't continue to be with someone I can't trust, especially the one that I trusted the most. Sad isn't it ?
