Sorghum is in a Grain/Grass/Cereal Category.. about 30 varieties plus hybrids & subspeices.
Unlike Wheat it doesn't contain gluten.

Sorghum is more versatile and comprises a larger group of plants than wheat...the grain is used, the fibers from the stalks, the syrup from the stalks is extracted similarly to sugar cane.

Wheat produces the grain and straw from the leftover stalks.
