As far as I am concerned, any individual who molests a child should have no rights. I ask myself "Why do these pedofiles have rights and the children don't?" everytime I see some scum bag on the tube that molests a child. It downright sickens me.
Here are some examples,
A Nebraska man convicted of sexually assaulting the 12-year-old daughter of his fiancee has been spared prison time because he is TOO SHORT. District Judge Kristine Cecava said that Richard W. Thompson, aged 50 and standing just over five feet tall, would be at risk if put into a prison population. Instead, Thompson will serve 10 years of strict probation.
WTF!?!?
Another guy only gets six month fo molesting a six year old girl for FOUR YEARS....FOUR YEARS....I'd like to make that guy my ***** for four years...he'd be dead by one.
In California, possesion of child pornography or of the act of rape to any age is only a minor misdimener. They consider it a victimless crime. WTF!? A guy was sentenced to three months jail and six months therapy for raping a TWO MONTH OLD CHILD
It is truly sad. If my little girl was ever molested by some creep, I would gladly serve time for the pleasure of killing the son of a *****

YES, there should be 'mandatory' . . . 10 years, chemical castration, etc. etc.
But I'd like to go one step further, if I may.
You know how they can implant a chip and some batteries as treatment for Parkinson's? Well, science should develop an implant that would be surgically implanted in the pedophiles' scrotum. And the sensor in the brain would be calibrated to detect sexual impulses -- of any type. (OH . . . TOO BAD!) And when there is an impulse . . . the scrotum gets a little zappy pooh.
And just as guilty as the "perps" are, I often wonder where the heck the parents are in these situations. Why haven't they discussed why an adult can't touch you in the privates with their children? And where ARE THEY to begin with to allow this type of child abuse to go on.

There should not be a mandatory jail time. There should be a mandatory execution. The liberal judges appointed to the federal courts by the liberal left wingers would tell you they are sick individuals, and should be treated.
This may be very true but I submit to you that the molestation of one innocent child is not worth the life of all of them put together and it may be time for the people to wake up and protect the next generation.

Check into Jessica's Law. It's a push to get ALL states to adopt at least a 25 year sentence for child molestors.

Federal laws have just stiffened for these predators, however, as we all know, unless they decide to take an all out trial, most will cop a plea. State laws are more lax in these areas due to the newness of the internet related crimes. Federal agencies have been attacking these "scum" for at least 10-12 years. It does give us as law officers a bit of bargaining chips if they refuse to cooperate for max sentencing, as well as those who cross state lines to pursue the children.

yes, they should be put in jail just for showing up with the intentions of having sex with a minor, not slapped on the wrist and sent back out to do it again and again. I cant believe there are people still stupid enough to fall for this with it being on dateline all the time.. they should go to jail for being idiots.

No I think they sould be put away indefinatly, solitary for 5 years, and then general population the rest of their life, and make sure every convict in general population knows why the persons there, that way the rest of their life will probably only be a few days.

I totally agree with you. I think they should get life, no parole. This may seem very harsh but these sickos don't get rehabilitated I don't care what anyone says. They ruin those children for life and that's what they should get. They say the prisons are too full, well quit sending so much of our tax dollars everywhere and build more.

Your quite right, it is disgusting, and our laws are not strict enough on them. But once they are in prison, they have a different kind of hell to deal with because there they are at the bottom of the food chain so to speak. Offenders of children are the lowest of lows in prison and are targeted for beatings and even death. This will sound horrible of me, but they get whats coming to them there when our laws are not strong enough on the outside.

Yes, and since sexual abuse is one of the most difficult problems to cure you would think that prison terms would be stronger. But on Oprah yesterday the case of one repeat offender was mentioned. He was sentenced to 18 years, but would be eligible for parole in only 6 years!
