No, they whimper and whine, but no tears, unless there is something irritating their eye then they may have a discharge. It's their bodies natural reaction to eliminate the object that's bothering them. My dog had 2 tiny grains of sand in her eyelid, and she had goo coming out of her eye, I took her to the vet and he rinsed her eye with water to flush it out, I think he told me that dogs don't have tear ducts like people do, or she would have been able to flush it out herself.

Yes but I'm not sure like us they cry to clean there eyes how ever I did have a dog that when her partner pasted away her eyes did weep more than normal for awhile hope this helps

I dont think they cry with tears like people do. But I do think they can cry like we do when they are upset even if there are no tears.

yes dog's do cry and some even grieve theirselves to death when they lose their (mate) mine did it cried for three and a half days about and and you could see tears fall from her eyes( they had three sets of pups)but she cried and then just layed down one day and never got up (i still miss her )

my dog did she had lost her puppies and I was away that weekend when I got home, she jump and hug me like and human she was so sad I saw tears it her eyes I cry to because it was like we had lost a child.

YES! dogs has feeling like you do too...
They cries and even can die of saddenes...
so becarefull how you treat them..and Please don't leave them alone for a long period of time.
When I was a child one of my loved dogs died because my mom went to see her mom ( my grandma) and when we got home we found it dead and his face was all wet like he was crying for hours...I won't forget the little face the rest of my live...

i dont believe they cry but they make a whine sound when somethin makes them sad or worried like not being able to find their owner or a dog buddy that has died.
