take vitamin D suplements to lighten your hair, when you can't be in the sun as often as you would like?

good theory but it wont work.....if you want to lighten your hair quicker put lemon juice through your hair something in the citrus that aids lightening hair in sunlight......

Over a Length of time UV light degrades the melanin pigment and bleaches the hair fiber. The vitamin D has nothing to do with it. It just the natural weathering of hair.
Chemicals placed on the hair only further damage the hair fiber and destroys the melanin pigment that gives hair its color.

No, because Vitamin D has nothing to do with the amount of melanin on your skin and hair - which is affected by UV light, not Vitamin D.
