Through friends. It's the safest bet. You can get all the info you want on a person if a friend sets you up. Plus, it's safer than meeting people on the internet.

Follow your interests. If you don't have any, develop some! Get involved with something you care about--that way you'll have something in common with the people you meet. Tell everybody you know that you are looking for companionship and let them do the work! People love to do set-ups! (PS if they get you involved in a bad match, try not to blame them or say anything bad about the person they set you up, or they'll never do it again!) Put yourself out there!

Try to get with some guys 18-20. Should be plenty of em because all the 20 year old women are chasing 45 year olds for weath & material things. Time to correct this never-ending cycle. I got me an older woman that squirts!

Take some classes, join groups that you might have an interest in (associations, business groups, artists' groups, etc.), and church groups. I think the guys are out there looking for the women, too. It's hard to meet people these days. I think I would try the internet. Good luck to you and I hope you find who you want!

Met 'em there and in Target, etc...not sure why but my other single friends find it to be true as well.
Long lines are especially great ice-breakers...you can see their HANDs (no ring)...and can normally tell by what's in their basket..lol...I get hit on in grocery stores by single men all the time...now I look myself...not just shoppin' Lean Cusine and toothpaste anymore! ; -)

Try going to neighborhood sports activities. There are alot of men there (with their kids of course) but some are great catches. Or you could try a coffee shop, and last but not least, theres always on-line.

there is a place called mingles.. it happens once or twice a month $35 to get in its for 35's plus.
(sort of like a blue light disco for oldies with smoking and alchol) haha
