Come up to Maine. There are so many things that you can do in this state for free, or little money. A beautiful spot is Bar Harbor. Acadia National Park is there with beautiful views. There's whale watching, or you can go on the CAT and go to Nova Scotia for the day. Plenty of "tourist traps" too. They have horse drawn carriage rides through the woods(very romantic). If you like the ocean, you can take a day trip down the coast on Route One. Go to maine.rr.com there are daily updates on things you can do here. They say--Maine the way life should be. It's very relaxed up here. If you want to go somewhere out of the beaten path, just ask one of the locals, and they'd know all kinds of little places you can go. You can definately plan a packed week up here. Good luck where ever you decide to go.

Go camping in the bush somewhere. That way you don't get the wedding loading that many companies dish out, it will be as cheap or expensive as YOU want, it will just be the two of you. But make sure that someone back home knows exactly where you are, just incase there's an emergancy.

My husband and I went to Six Flags Over Texas for our honeymoon! We stayed in the motel across the street from the park, and had a great time. Good luck!

Well how about lake michigan or any lake resort, or maybe the bay islands in Honduras, it's a 2 hour 30 minute flight from atlanta. Its beautiful and really cheap, the stay I mean.

You could just rent a hotel room in a really nice area of your town and stay a few nights and just go out to places you wouldn't normally go and buy things you wouldn't normally buy because it's expensive.
