Seizures do affect the brain, so if she has too many, and/or they are too long, yes they can affect her learning. The best possible management will maximize your daughter's learning potential. Make sure you have a very qualified doctor who listens to you, that you are meticulous about her medication, that her school is aware of her seizures, and all caregivers.

Yes seizures do have effects on the brain. I agree that she should be given seizure medicine to prevent these. Did the doctor that diagnosed her condition not put her on medications?

having seizures shouldn't effect her learning to much. if you can get her help that would help lots and if she has these seizures all the time then maybe it will with being at school and under a lot of pressure

No, but this is a serious matter and your daughter should be under a doctor's care and probably taking anti-seizure medication. Your child is going to be just fine if you don't ignore this matter. Seek professional assistance immediately and I wish you and your daughter the best.

yes it might
are they petit mals? if so, then at that particular time she won't hear what the teacher is saying....
get with her teacher and explain what is going on so that the teacher knows to repeat or reexplain to your daughter...
you should be able to work around the seizures

if you are prescribed meds to control the seizures then they will have a definate effect on her thinking ability...my advice from personal experience is not to give her any meds unless the seizures become out of control

It can I would call ur child's doctor and set up an appointment and then I would talk with her teacher and talk to with her/him about the situation so that everyone is aware and one the same page. If ur daugther does need help in some areas or will need help in certain situations then this could be the way of going about it.
