Cut out coffee or caffinated/high sugar products from your diet. Stuff that gives you too much energy can make anger worse. Obviously if you're taking speed or cocaine you should cut that out too :P
Also try getting out on your own for a bit. When you feel angry, go on a jog or bike ride until you wear yourself out, then follow it up with a long shower and a good meal.
Explain to the important people in your life what you're going through. Tell them that they are still special but you're having a hard time not being a bastard for reasons beyond your control. They'll appreciate that you're at least aware that you're snapping at them, and once aware that you're getting angry will be more sensitive to your moods.
If you don't have enough time for a rage group then maybe you're overcommitting, not getting enough sleep, or time to relax. You should cut out some less important activity to fit a group in, even if its just for a few weeks.
If you're being physically violent you should definitely seek help before you get arrested, jailed, and sued. Anti-anxiety medication might be in order for a little while if lifestyle change doesn't work.

You need to stop and think about what is causing you to be so mad and then try to take small steps to fix it a bit at a time. Ever step forward will make your rage start to disappear. But you need to be truthful with yourself when you are trying to come to terms with what is causing your rage to flare up.
Good Luck!=]

I used to have rage black-outs when I was in my early 20's. What worked for me was eastern meditation and a spiritual mentor that could do laser surgery on my ego.

Put your anger into something else. Try writing poety or something about your anger.
