Hi, I really like to know if masturbation is considered cheating, because I'm in a long distance relationship with a devout catholic girl who prolly won't like me doing it, and I feel angry at myself everytime I do it...help me!

No, masturbation is not considered cheating. I am in a relationship...not necessarily long distance. But I am a catholic girl, and I, myself, masturbate. And so does my boyfriend! I dont see the problem with this, its you doing those things to yourself, its not like someoene else is doing them with you/ for you. And who knows, maybe she does those sort of things too?
I see nothing wrong with it. Unless you are looking at porn and stuff like that. I would be a little upset with that.

No it's not a sin(brainwashing). It relieves sexual tension so don't feel guilty. You're doing yourself a favor by getting out those pent-up urges and you're not hurting anyone. Besides it's not any ones business.
As for your girlfriend, she is a victim of a repressive controlling religion who will guilt trip you to death by saying you're "cheating". If she cow tows you like this long distance imagine what you're in for if you two ever see each other regularly. I hope you can see this in a true perspective so are able to live your own life.

It is none of her business. Also, would she prefer the alternative? I am Catholic and I am not aware on any prohibition on masturbation. Maybe she is double-clicking her mouse.

it is healthy, so do it for health reasondso n a regular basis, god will understand because he made it healthy, that would be like saying drinking water is a sin because you like to do it, sex is a sin because there are other ways to get a workout, but if you masterbate on a regular basis it is not a sin, in my opinion, because it is healthy
