Is it wrong to not love your mother?
Mine is just impossible.

You should respect and honor your mother, and you should always treat her kindly. You do not have to love her - or even like her - as long as you appreciate what she has done for you and treat her with respect. You can't help how you feel. Unfortunately, I'm the same way about my father so I do sympathize and I also understand the guilt and sorrow that can come when you feel you should love someone that you simply do not. Maybe time will change this.

Not loving your mother probably goes along with your age, including your thinking of her as impossible. Your first eleven answers all have points to be considered and you would do well to do just that -- consider them all well. Mothers in your teen and early 20's tend to be impossible a lot -- it is part of your age and her responsibilities for you. Hang in there and know that it most often does get better with time. My mother always told me something she heard as a young woman "This too shall pass." I believe it holds true for you right now. I believe your not loving your mother is just a temporary FEELING. It may be strong and feel permanent, but all feelings are only temporary. Hang in there and my guess is despite your feelings AND her impossibility that she loves you and that may be part of how she ends up being so impossible. Again, hang in there and know that feelings are temporary.

You will find the older you grow that you don't actually hate your mother.Let me tell you a little story about my sister and my mother. The last four years of my mothers life they didn't speak 20 words to each other. Both were at fault. Things were said and done in retaliation. After our mom passed away, not a day goes by that she doesn't cry and wish she could go back and change things. If your mother is spiteful and mean just let her know that you still love her.The day does not need to come for regrets.

It is possible to love someone without liking them, so I'm wondering if there is some reason you strongly dislike the mother you are supposed to love. Just my opinion, but think about it. You might learn something about yourself as well as about your mom.
If you're still convinced that you don't love her I pray that the Lord will change the circumstances that gave birth to these feelings and I pray that both of your hearts will be mended and you will find a new and better relationship.

No, it is not. I believe in surronding myself with my family. My family consists of people who love, support, encourage and challenge me and want what's best for me. My "heart" family are not blood related. My mother is impossible too and made me feel so bad that as an adult I have a relationship with her but not on the same level as the ones I really depend on. Good Luck hon and I'm sorry you have to go through this too.

You can hate her and love her. Sounds like you two need to really talk.

You can love her & not like her.
She's your mom so you're always going to love her. You just may not like her sometimes.
