I didn't think the first question was real, now I know for sure. At least you aren't making prank phone calls.

NEVER EVER SPANK OR HIT A CHILD. It builds up resentment between child and parent. If you have a newborn or child less then 1 1/2 change their diaper, feed them, burp them, rock them, sing figure out its needs. By the age of 2 children should be sleeping through out the night. If they wake up in the middle of the night comfort them and coax them back into bed.Don't lock the door it is a hazard. Try and get them on a schedule of bedtime close to when you do. To wear toddlers out good ways are taking them and supervising them at the park, play dates, learning games that are age appropriate.

I hope this is a joke. If not, maybe someone should lock you up.

If the child is sleeping from 3pm to 5am, I calculate that to be about 14 hours. That is too much. Something is wrong. Please take the child to the doctor then get some parenting classes.

Don't let him sleep at 3 make him stay awake till like 8 or 9 and then put them down and when he wakes up comfort them let him know you are there but don't pick them up or give them anything they will probable cry but after they cry themselves to sleep a couple of times it will stop just be pacient. It is a hard road to go down but you have to do it sometime so good luck and don't get mad just remeber it will all work out in the end.

first of all locking you kid in a room can be concidered abuse and is far from fixing the problem. I had the same problem with a nephew of mine. what you should do is keep him awake until you go to sleep (or close to it if you stay up late) no matter how cranky he gets. to help him stay awake i would suggest giving him some mountain dew when he starts to get drowsy. then he can get started on a normal sleeping routine along with you

please dont. kids wake up. trust me, i have three siblings, and when they were young it seemed like they were always crying. they'll get over it, spanking a child is never the way unless it is something they have done wrong as in punishment, your child may just have trouble sleeping, try reading a book, or singing to them, i know you're a guy, but dads can do it too. if you can spank them to sleep you can read to them.

Something tells me based on this poster's question and answer history they don't have a child and ask inflammatory questions to simply be a smarta##.

Not only is it a waste of space but also very childish and shows a total lack of self worth.

Good luck being a loser.
