Look at your puppy and think of things that are like him for example the colour. Golden= yellow=bright=happy, keep thinking of those things and you'll find a name, that's how I name all my pets.

It depends more of its' *personality* rather its' colour, or by a close holiday. That's how we've named our pets. For instance, I found a long haired kitty in our back shed on the eve of Christmas eve last year. If it was a boy, it's name would be Drummer Boy, .........if it was a girl, it's name would be Carol Bell. Well, after taking it to the vet,.................we have a girl, and she *loves* her name, and her new home! (We took her up to the house.) I even bought her a collar with a bell,...........she loves it!

Mine was named Molly when I got her as a puppy. She grew to be quite large and acts quite goofy at times (lol). Now we call her Molly Moose. What a sweetie.

What color is your golden retriever...?
I haf one black one and his name was NAPOLEON..because he became a big dog..and I knew he will be grow big..
Napoleon is a good name for a dog with a good temper and caracter.
It is a great name..
