A liquor store would be a good start. I know in my city we have a store that has a store dedicated to just kegs - its a great place, haha.
Depending on the beer, kegs can be kind of difficult to find. I would get a popular (and cheap) beer like Budweiser because its one of the easiest to find.
Just call around, or search on the internet, that will help ya out.
