Have fun!!

And take into account that it's your first time, don't stress too much, try and enjoy the experience. It's ok to get it wrong sometimes. And don't worry too much about what other people say about you and your horse, most people that gripe are just jealous and insecure.

Good Luck to you- I'm sure you'll both do fine :)

The judges are going to be watching the horse's movement, not pay attention to your gloves (I take it this is a dressage competition?) but if you feel that self conscious about it then get a different pair. When you're out there try to forget that you are in a competition -people tend to stiffen up and look weird when they know they're competing, and don't look natural. The best advice I can give you is to relax and have fun. If you don't win it's no big deal - there are plenty of horse shows out there. Good luck (and keep your heels down :) )

Give your horse a quick check before you ride...

Before you ship, check his temperature with a thermometer.

Check for heat around the hoof/feet area.

Have the proper equipment for that discipline. For tack, try Tack.com and purchase what you need if you can't get it from a tack shop.

Have your trainer look at the horse and when you get to the show make sure you know where the farrier is located.

Always carry a hoof-pick and some basic essentials (alcohol, scissors, brushes, combs, etc>) to any horse show. Be prepared for any emergency and paste/glue the telephone number of your vet on your tack box.

Good luck...

nicely the only time i'm getting disenchanted is that if my horses dont behave, yet whilst he does behave and that i dont place i couldnt care much less, yet whilst i do then im extra desirable than happy the only suggestion I easily have without seeing the movies could be attempt to not get too mad and disenchanted caz then it is going to additionally effect your horse and positioned him in a bad temper additionally. And be confediant and agressive dont permit him be the boss, ( yet dont beat the crap out of him the two) in case you place up the movies theni would desire to be waiting to help somewhat extra yet yeah stable luck ***************************************... Like i dont understand any information approximately your horse yet he quite didnt look like he became doing all that undesirable, yet whilst it became his first instruct in 3 years then he became possibly only quite excited, because of the fact my horse hasnt been at a instruct for 5 years at one component and that i took him the 1st day and he became kinda undesirable, in spite of the undeniable fact that it became a 2 day instruct so day after on the instant he became lots extra desirable. yet i think of which you will desire to easily take him to as many exhibits as you may reason then he gets use to each little thing. And my horse does that bunny hop component over the leap the place you fell off and that i think of that my horse does it because of the fact he like doesnt take off on the main appropriate time or some thing so it would desire to be a similar for you horse. yet i dont understand what to declare approximately him being quite stable on your mom, possibly after she became achieved he spooked at some thing and it nonetheless had him all shakin up, yet idk i wasnt there. yet the place he went right into a trot at possibly he say some thing and it have been given him distracted

You sound like you are already wound up! The best thing to remember is to be confident in you and your horses abilities, and try to remain as calm as possible because your horse will sense it if your not, so try to just ENJOY yourself......................
