What kind of dog. Hope it is not a "great-dane". He proberly has never seen a female nude before, and if he is a "squirrel" dog he may have got excited when he seen the "nest"..Forgive me, that wasn't nice; but on the other hand what do dogs think anyway?

As a perfectionist in this area...and with full understanding of how "DOGS" react to circumstantial presentations they encounter, in there short span of life, I will do my best to explain his behavior.
The growl YOU defined "is actually a laugh" you failed to mention that his tail was wagging.
It's the litle hot dog he is interested in!
