My daughter is BI. In fact, she announced to her mother and I when she was maybe 13 that she was BI. And, you're right, we did not understand it, and tried hard to deny it and persuade her that she was too young to know what she was. Well, now she's 20, and she is indeed BI. I don't particularly like it, and I still don't understand it, but there ain't a damn thing I can do about it. What I'm trying to say to you is, be honest, and be prepared for a negative reaction. But your parents will eventually accept the facts if they never comprehend your choice.

This answer will not help you with your question. You can only tell them to find out what the reaction will be. I can't see how any parent would not be upset with it. Especially if they are religious.

Listen-get it off your shoulders so it doesn't bother you mentally, if you gay or lesbo so what your parents may or may not freak at first but then they will have to accept it won't they, don't screw your mind up more by hiding its the 2000's now they all come out

I would be disappointed. But, with today's value's as they are with TV and the Movies, It would not surprise me. Everywhere you look, it is made out to be the normal thing now. I honestly hope I never have to answer it in real life.

I wouldn't like it but I love her enough to know it is her life and I can't make her do as I would like her to do. You teach your kids right and hope they make the right decisions when they grow up. But in the cercumstance what is right for one isn't necessarily right for another. Just don't throw it in their face or push your lover on them and you should be OK.

i dont understand why people would even be upset about that.. there are far worse things...
you dont choose your sexuality.. it chooses you...
so remind your parents of those 2 things and that should make it a bit easier for them to handle....

i'm sure that my hubby would be upset, but then again he was raised in a "boy's don't cry" household. i would be fine with it. having your children turn out homosexual is not what you plan for them in their future, but at least they are still there to enjoy life with you. no matter what sexual orientation they are.
