I love when I here people wanting to bring Christ in their heart, but I really love hearing parents wanting to do so for their children. Thats AWESOME!! I have a 4 yr. old a 2 yr. old and a 4 month old. I just starting going to church about 3 months ago, and it was the best decision that I have ever made, not just for myself but for my kids. I think that the perfect opportunity is now! Christmas is coming and you can explain to her what that day is. Let her know that Christmas is not about getting, but about giving-Like God gave Jesus to us! Help her make a gift or a card every year and tell her "It's for Jesus, because it's his birthday!" She will remember because she is putting her hard work and heart into it. Also bring her to church to meet other children who are learning as well-you will cry tears of joy when you hear what she has to say when you pick her up from Sunday school or the day care that the church has to offer. Try reading her some childrens bibles and saying the same prayer every night when she goes to bed so she can remember.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to keep
guide us Jesus
through the night
and wake us in
the morning light!
Amen
Believe it or not within 2 weeks my 4 year old memorized the entire prayer, and my 2 year old will just listen and would be the first to scream AMEN at the end (sometimes even before we finish!) Remember she will walk in your shoes.. be her path.. encourage her the best you can! She will love you with all her heart no matter what, but she will praise you for helping to bring the lord in her heart when she was a baby-she will know how to do the same when she has your grandchildren! Good luck and God Bless you!!

There are many ways.

Praying at night together and also thanking GOD for the life of......friends family etc....

Say the Lords prayer every night and at the end say thank you GOD for the friendship that... (and make your daughter answer)

She will start wanting to pray with you guys every night. Believing in GOD means praying, and that can be done at home, or anywhere which she will realize further in life.

Also, churches depending on the religion also have youth groups, (yet to young ) and group events. Go to church outings like pancake breakfast, church outings, family picnics, etc.... She will have such a great time, or not?, you will soon find out, however in a group, playing chatting etc. (soon) and enjoying outings she will realize church, she will see fun and enjoy worshiping friends and family and life.

Kids do not truely understand religion, however it will become a part of her life......and HEY, you might even find yourself involved more in the church, your community and the essence of enjoying all the family and frienships that are enjoyed through GOD (church) and she will find a new friend or friends that will allow her to grow with religion.

My DAD was and Anglican Minister. I was there at a young age and also throughout my life, I rarely go now, however if I need a place to meet, enjoy, learn, teach, then I know where to go. I will be back in the privacy of GODS kingdom and know that when I go there, I will be there fo a reason and will benefit fully from being there.....and so you'll see, even at a young age, where she truely doesn't know GOD he will be her saviour.

Well children learn from example more than anything.
You can start telling her about God and how he created the earth and all the things like the dogs and the bird and the fish and the sky.... When she has that concept then you can begin telling her that God s Name was Jehovah and he had a son that lived here on the earth for a little while along time ago and then you can begin teaching lessons of Jesus' life.
Have you been praying? There are free books available through the Watch Tower Bible And Tract Society.

My daughter is 2 and we introduced her to Jesus by showing her the sign for Jesus (use your index finger on one hand to touch the center of the opposite palm and repeat for the other hand) and everytime we read Jesus' name in a bible story we would do the sign. After a couple times she will do it too and, of course now she talks more, so she says his name. This made her familliar with his name and as a person as we read stories about him. We also go to church regularly where she hears about him there. We also pray to him and sing songs about him together. I believe that she does understand that Jesus is a person, someone she can know, though the concept of God is obviously beyond her comprehension right now.

Go to the store and get some bible children songs. Also, there are so many children books about Jesus. Says prayers at the table and in bed. Talk to her about God. My 2 year old loves to go to sunday school and my 4 year old truely has a relationship with God (she loves to talk to him and tell people about him). Right now she is too little to understand the concept, but if you surround her in it then it will be something she knows and trusts.

My daughter was given a really adorable Precious Moments Children's Bible.
There are even little board book Bibles for little ones.
Hope this helps.

Oh, and just because you don't go to Church does not mean you are being hypocritical. I know people that go to church every week and yet are the nastiest people.
They go just so that they can say they go ....
Jesus does not keep score of who shows up or doesn't , it is how you live your life that counts.

Get her some children's books at a christian book store about Jesus. Also taking her to a christian church that has a great Sunday school program would help alot although you would have to stay at the church while she is in Sunday school but then you could learn more too.

Tell her the stories from the bible whenever an opportunity comes up throughout the day. Go for a walk and talk about creation, talk about the wonderful miracles Jesus performed, just tell her the stories. She will ask questions and you may have to read the bible to her! Look for a kids bible with some illustrations.

Why would you want to brainwash a child when you don't even go to church and follow your religion properly? Were you brainwashed too? Maybe ask your parents what they did to convince you.

Otherwise WAIT and let HER use her mind and decide for herself when she's older.
If you are going to introduce religious stories to her it should be from many different religions. Just as you would introduce your child to all sorts of food, not just fruit and vegetables, even though you want the child to eat healthily. Don't force stuff upon them.

I remember once I went to a church, and they had the kids go to the front to talk to the pastor. While he was explaining God, he told them that God is the nicest man in the whole universe, and that's why He is God. I think you should let her be whatever she wants to be, because then she'll be happy and you'll be happy. God approves all careers that are geared towards helping others, even artists or musicians.
