i read it on the 24 hours Vancouver Newspaper.. but i think it was a joke or do you know if it's true? if it's not true then where does it come from?

It is a kind of fly bearing long legs. The name is Drosophila Melanogaster.
It means (the one which) likes the morning dew and has a black belly. Stems from Greek.
Drosos= dew
Philos=friend
Melas-melanos=black
Gastir=belly

It's just a joke. Both words are in the Nominative case and the words for banana and rotting and window are not in there. Sorry someone was just messing with you.
