why do they call non muslims infidels? Why does islam call for slaying of infidels? If these infidels were sent prophets by god that means they are on the right path set for them by god, then who is a muslim to decide how another person should lead his life! Those people may have been delivered a different message coz god has something different planned for them. Do muslims want to defy god's will?

War: The term jihad or "struggle" is often considered as both external and internal, both a physical and spiritual struggle. The enemies of Islam or "idolaters," states the Qur’an, may be slain "wherever you find them" (Surah:5). (See Surah 47:4). Paradise is promised for those who die fighting in the cause of Islam (see Surah 3:195, 2:224). Moderate Muslims emphasize the spiritual dimension of Jihad and not its political element.

BECAUSE THEY ARE TAUGHT IT! HAVE YOU EVER READ ANY OF THIS?

All of you who think they are passive and non violent please study the religion FIRST!

I spoke with some scholars on Islam and here what the muslims believe in:
Muslims believe that god sent prophets to mankind because they are human and one human being can relate to another much better! These prophets were given special powers and they all came with the same message to believe in one god the father and worship him and only him.
Moses was given powers of magic because at that time the Pharaohs were very impressed with magic and had very good magicians. During Jesus's time medicine and healing was very important so he was given the gift of healing. Instead of worshiping one god people started worshiping Jesus. Mohammad was the last prophet and he came with the same message as others believe in one God which the other two had failed on. Mohammad a person who could not read or write was given the gift of poetry or language because people of that time were much into beautiful language. Thus the Koran! The people of Islam never worshiped Mohammad and never looked at him as God but totally worshiped god the father and therefore the work was completed.
The infidels are those that do not believe in god or worship people or things other than god! Since no one knows what is in anyone's heart Muslims believe that god will decide who the infidels are. True Muslims do not judge others and do not play god.

Well, in all honesty, and irony, no one calls the non-Muslims infidels but the non-Muslims themselves. In Islam, it is forbidden for a Muslim to call anyone a kafir (often mistakenly translated as infidel). Only God Himself knows what lies in the heart of a person, and knows why he feels the way he does. For a Muslim to call someone kafir basically says he is trying to equate himself with God, and claiming that he knows something he does not. The Quran mentiones the kafirun (plural for kafir) and gives the title to certain peoples (mostly of the past), however Quran is from God and His knowledge, not ours.

This "kill infidels" thing is a myth. It says fight them back and kill them if they fight and try to kill you. You need to quit buying into the media BS. Hate sells, you know.
