It just seems too "pastel" for my taste. How can I update my front porch and flowerbeds to make it look less 80's. What colors would you use for porch furnishings, light sconce, planters, number plates, etc.?

Please help! I'm clueless about this. I'm originally a city girl w/ no prior experience in decorating a porches!

If I had a peach colored house I would use a nice rich deep pumpkin color with an accent of light cream. Every time we paint our house in our town, we get many compliments on my combos. For many years we had a dark spruce house with cream trim and red wicker furniture on the porch and the same barn red door. We are in the process of changing the house to an Army green now, the same everything else. Half done and many compliments. Good combos make all the difference.

It's hard to say without exactly knowing what style of home you have. However, a nice red with white shutters and railings and window trims look very nice. A black or white house number plates accent it well. For lighting, stick with brighter things, dont go on the side where you have those small dim lights, get a porch lights that lights things up. A nice white wood porch swing and some white porch chairs look great. I kno you paint the of white, but if you paint the majoraty of the house a nice basic red, the white looks absolutly perfect.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/dOHHk
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

That all depends on the shade of peach
but
I am a big fan of maroon trim and wooden looking wicker furniture. (although with peach, you may need a shade of blue or green)

I love cement planters with neutral colors,
I put in pansies in the spring and mums in the fall.
A hanging basket of ferns and a nice sounding windchimes are nice too.

Depending on the style of your house would depend on what type of lighting you would use. I would make the number plates match that, as well.

I think peach would look great with a brown... not a very dark brown, more like a milk chocolate colour brown. It would make the house look less peachy and pastel - more warm.

And not too much brown... just on the edges like the porch, shutters, baseboards of the house

I think any other pastel would look horrible. Even white wouldn't work. I would use black or a dark chocolatey brown. You're pretty limited with the peach, but it could work with the right accessories. Good luck. Lots of hanging plants and black wicker on the porch would look great.

I'd consider the colors of the peach tree and the peach tree leaves leaves. Brownish railings, greenish shutters. Play around with the shades of color to find something that's right.

My roof is a similar shade and we've an almond shade siding, like an ecru shade. Then my front door is wood and we've brass carriage lights furniture. i admire the look. It makes the roof and darkish door stand out.

I would go for dark colors like browns and bronzes and you can use natural shades of metals and things like that. I think that would make it look as though you meant it to be that color. Mexican pots or Indian decorations.
Something along that line whichever you like best. Good luck.
