Yes you can do both. I served in the Marine Corps and went to school during nights and weekends. If you really want to get your degree, it is possible. The military pays for all school, but you have to pay for your own books. I think it's still $4,500 a semester and if you go over that and have been in at least 2 years active duty, you can use your G.I. Bill to cover the difference. Of if you want to go the officer route, the military will pay you as while you go to college. Then when you get your bachelors, you owe a set amount of years to the military. In the Marine Corps, you can be promoted up to a Captain with a Bachelors, but for anything higher in rank, you have to get your Masters. Your best bet is to talk to a recruiter. If you do, ask to talk to a few active duty Marines, they can give you perspective that the recruiter can't. And should you join, get everything the recruiter promised in writng, otherwise they can and may opt out of whatever they promised you

Well you can go through ROTC and go to school for free and when you are done with school you will become an officer. Or you can join the reservists and continue school and be a week end warrior. Also, the Marine Corps will pay 100% of your schooling while active. The only problem with it though is trying to find time to do the online schooling. I've been in for 4 years and just received my Associates degree. I have two years left and will be close to my Bachelors. Find a desk job or easy job that you will be able to do online schooling. Having a field job like I had made it impossible for me to take schooling. It can be done though.

IMHO, ROTC has to be the best thing to come along since Swiss cheese and sliced bread.
Can't imagine what it would be to finish collage DEBT FREE,and then walk right into the military already an officer. Doesn't make any difference which branch of the service you choose, it is still like being offered a future on a silver platter.

the military will act as if they pay for you to go to college...but the real deal is. sure they pay but they don't allow you the time to go most of the folks in the military end up loosing there lives because they work all day and go to school all night. or if they choose not to do night school or night school is not available in there major they are forced to do it on-line. that is when they are not deployed or doing some sort of overseas ****...SO in closing you really cant have both it either the military or college

well you can be part time in the marines but what does matter is the education of america and if you go to college you can do better because you might be smarter than everyone there.

Yes you can. You can go reserves, or try ROTC if you want to be an Officer. I am becoming an Officer, so good luck to you!

Pick one honey, can't do both, unless once you got in the marines you want to do correspondence. R.O.T.C. also is an option if ya want.

Wait until after the draft, by then they will be able to let you finish school.

PS don't listen to anything the recruiter tells you!

ROTC is a good option for you... you get a free education, and become an officer when you graduate.
