I hate to admit that I take warped pleasure out of watching all the ways that people can make horse's butts out of themselves here. (While also hoping that I'm not among their number.) ;-)

Well, some people will say anything to try to make themselves look cool. But really it ends up making them hard to talk to. And some people just want to know more about God! Be an image of the Lord, and teach them about God, church, heaven, etc.

It makes sence to me.
Religion is men controling men. Religion's tell people how to please the God that they invented to control them. They use a book - The Bible, Koran, ETC. to manipulate those who need a religion to define, guide & control thier life.
God is not a man on a cloud in the sky deciding your punishment for you sin.
In a nut, shell religion promotes Fear...But in truth, if you are in fear you do not know God - you can not.
