i am a young girl and i know that but i really want a boyfriend or a privilage to have one! my friends say it's crazy that i can't and my parents r to over proteive.

Seriously, there is no age limit. You should begin dating when you feel you are ready and you find a guy who you will want to remember as your first boyfriend. I dated the odd guy when i was 12 or 13ish but i really started dating when I was 14-15 ish (btw, im 15 now) and all of them have been serious. Dating isn't really about how far you can go, or looking cool, it's a deep connection two people share.

Back when I was in between families and didn't have parents, I has a boy friend. I was about 5 and he 7. But I guess maybe 16.

Like maybe, 14 or something. You shouldn't really rush things to have a boyfriend. You should ask your parents when you're allowed to be dating, but until then just enjoy the single life. When the right guy comes, then you could persuade your parents to let you date.

My mom allowed me to have a boyfriend at 16 but I was into school and was trying to graduate at that age so I wasn't interested in having a bf. But I think 16 is okay to have a bf
