Checking to peer if there is a noise ordinance could be the first step, and that additionally would rely upon where you live. More often than not within city limits, there is a curfew for noise and there are also decibal ordinances. Comprehend the law in your subject first. As soon as you will have learned that you just do have some recourse, contact your neighbor in a friendly letter and let them understand what you could have found out. Let them be aware of that if there canine's barking isn't beneath contorl, you can contact animal control and/or the police. Don't do it verbally, given that it would grow to be in an arguement or a bunch of "he mentioned/she stated". Apart from that, having it in the type of a letter gives the authorities proof that you just tried to control this in a friendly manner [make sure you keep a copy of the letter, too]. If the canine still barks, contact the authorities and allow them to take care of it.

Have you tried calling the SPCA (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=RNWE,RNWE:2006-33,RNWE:en&q=SPCA) or humane society to complain about this animal cruelty? If you do they can take the dog to a safer/comfortable environment and also better for you too. The trailer park people wouldn't know you called would they? I bet you don't even have a phone to call do you?
If you're afraid to call in case they know it's you then you don't have much choice. Cause both you and the dog are suffering from these trailer park people. You and the dog need to get out of that place before you both get hurt or worse.
Can you not find a better place to live than to endure this hostile environment? How about finding a new roommate who doesn't irriate you that you can share the rent with? I don't think you will get much study done in a trailer park junk yard. YOU & THE DOG NEED TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE IF YOU WANT TO GRADUATE!!
Sounds like you're in the LAND OF THE HILLIBILIES!

IF you really feel like that dog is in a horrible environment, which is certainly what you described, I would take that dog out of the trailer park. I am just wanting to make sure it's not just the barking that is annoying you. If that is all, you need to find a better environment (you can get rid of the irritating roomie too!). BUT, if you think you can take the dog out of an abusive environment, take him to some cousins in the country or something. That's not cruel, especially if they just leave it penned up. THAT is cruel!

Seriously, call the cops. They can't leave their dog outside to disturb the peace. I had to do this to my neighbors. I now only hear the dog when it's daylight out. There are laws that protect animals right to not be abused. They can get in trouble for that. You can call the local animal shelter and they will send some one over there to check the place out.
You should really consider calling the cops I know it sounds petty
but you have the right to live in peace too!

Your right its not the dogs fault. Sounds like they need a bigger yard for room to run or the owners need to take them out to run. Maybe your best bet would be to call the Humane Society & the Police Dept. and let them know that the dogs are bothering you with all that barking and that you believe they are not being well keeped. They can come and check things out or at least talk to the neighbors. I would just hate for the dogs owners to mistreat the poor animals. You never know they could be crying out for help. And your the one who might need to be their voice. They could be sick or they might want new owners! ~Best Wishes~ :o)

I know you don't want to make enemies with your neighbors, so hers Little some thing you can try,use your judgment to ask the people first, this will not harm the dog, take a hand full of moth balls put then in and old sock and tied it in a knot throw it up on the porch, unless this dogs brains gone it should calm him down.

I wouldn't steal the dog if I were you. Even if they don't deserve to own the dog, it does belong to them.
I agree with the person who said, report them.
Sleep with music on, a fan, the TV, or whatever noise will mostly block it out.
We live in a very nice neighborhood, next to people who take good care of their dogs, walk them, etc. But they have this little dachsund who barks all the time out in their yard. Nearly drives me nuts sometimes. But I'm sitting here with my iPod plugged into my ears.
Tolerate it until the authorities take care of it.

* Call thr police and turn them in for noise or better yet call the local SPCA. The local animal shelter will investigate for cruelity to animals. They will investigate the dog and his surroundings and no doubt talk to the rest of the neighbors, if the situation is as you say the neighbors will collaborate and something will get done.

Call your local SPCA and ask them where you can call to report animal abuse. If you have seen the dog being abused (neglect and kicking definitely both count), hopefully they will take the dog away from these people. You will be doing both the dog and yourself a favor.
