Guilfoyle
Irish: reduced Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Giolla Phóil, a patronymic from the personal name Giolla Phóil ‘servant of (Saint) Paul’.

Tolliver
English: variant of Telfer.

Americanized form of the Italian family name Taliaferro (cognate with 1), from tagliare ‘to cut’ + ferro ‘iron’, probably applied as a nickname for a metal worker or a fierce fighter (see genealogical note).

Tolliver is a variant of Taillefer which means "one who works with iron".
A minstrel named Taillefer was a key figure in the Norman invasion of Britain (battle of Hastings) in 1066.
An historical oddity here: Taillefer crossed the English Channel to fight in Britain in 1066. In 1944, Eisenhower crossed the English Channel in the other direction to fight in Normandy.
Eisenhower (Eisenhauer) is the German form of Taillefer.

The name is sometimes written as Tagliaferro.

You will have to ask somebody else about Guilfoyle.
