Like many will here, I disagree with you. Look: It's a sexual preference. That's it. I don't know how people can focus so much time and energy on telling other people who they should like and why. Anything going on between two consenting adults is the business of those two consenting adults!
"It shouldn't be that way." I get this answer a lot when I ask why someone is against gay marriage/relationships. So I ask "Why shouldn't it be this way?" Of course most people will go with the whole "Because God said so" reply. Well guess what; six billion people on earth and they're not all Christians. And those that are that still have this romantic/sexual preference, that is their God given right to choose. It's not our choice to make for them. They're not hurting anyone so leave them alone. What cracks me up the most is the 'slippery slope' defense people use. "Well if we let men have sex with men and women have sex with women, what's next? Dogs?" No.. That falls under the animal rights category. Same sex relationships have nothing to do with having sex with barn yard animals. If the fact that humans and cows aren't the same species isn't enough, another big difference is that same sex relationships are between 'two consenting adults'.

I have to disagree.
Gays should have just as many rights as straight people do.
And what is with all thee labels.
We are all human.
There are men out there who are having sex with sheep, and no one seems to notice.
But when a man is with a man or a women with a women then the whole world takes a notice.
Why can we not just love who we want and live our lives the way we want. Why does who we love have to be everyone elses buisness.
Gay people have feelings and feel love also. So why are they being denied the right to marry and live freely...
A person does not wake up one morning and choose that they are going to be gay..... If God did want homosexuality, then he would have stopped it from happening.
If homosexuality is so wrong, then why is it happening. It is happening because it is not wrong. Two people have the right to marry and love each other. And have a family.
I find it very frustrating how a person is labeled by there sexual prefferance. Why cant we all live in this world as one and not lable people.
Who said it is not suppose to be this way? Did God say that, did the bible say that? If that is the case, then why did God let it happen, why is printed in the bible.
It happens because it is a natural thing...... No one should be denied love.
Lets say that I was againt diet coke. So would me being against diet coke give me the right to go public and bash everyone who drinks diet coke? No it would not give me the right.
Homosexuals are not hurting anyone.
And a person should not have to worry about their sexuality and hide from it.
I do not know what the future holds for my family. And one day someone in my family or children may fall in love with the same sex.
We are all humans, and God wants us to love each and everyone.

I feel we should all have the same basic rights, but if they want to get married there are legal papers they can both sign. It is just not the same as a marriage ceremony, especially if they bring God into it. Anyone can read the bible and come to the conclusion that it is not acceptable. Personally, I could care less if they want to lie down with the same sex. They just shouldn't expect all people to feel it is normal. I am sorry, but if everyone became Gay then surely we wouldn't have to worry about the world being overpopulated. My feeling is it is a freak of nature just like anything else that goes wrong with nature. They just need to get by due to that. There are men and women for a reason and that is why we were made with all of the necessary body parts to fit naturally. I am sure alot of people will say I am wrong, but when it comes down to it we were made this way for a reason.

Gay people should have the same rights as heteros. The way wannabe dictator Bush is going more concern should be on protecting Cositutional rights of everyone instead on the diversions of gay marrige, prayer in school, abortion, flag burning and other none-issues to avoid our dwindling guality of life! and the conflagration of Irag. Heterosexuals have hardly set an examplary pattern of non-ridiculousness with a fifty percent divorce rate, so who are they to decide who can and cannot get married? Just becase you and others accepted the ignorant mindlessnes of 'it's not supposed to be that way' doesn't make your opinion falid. Consenting adults have sex with consenting asults is nobody else's business! People like you are the real perverts of the world, without a satisfactory sex live of your own, wanting everyone else in the world to be as fustrated and miserable as you!

first of all...use the spell check. If you are trying to denigrate people for who they are and what they do, at least attempt to make yourself look better and smarter. This is the thing...why do you care what other people do? If they love each other, live together, are faithful to each other, consider each other family...why shouldn't they have the same rights under the law, especially financial and health related as other families? Why is it ok for me to marry some jerk off the street I barely know, divorce him and take him to the cleaner...when two people who want to work at a lifetime together can't? But back to MY question...why do you care so much?

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. I'm very straight, but I still consider a gay/lesbian a human.
Should we start taking away the rights of people who believe in a different religion than you? Or have different beliefs?
So, what way is it "supposed" to be? The Christian way? Well, I remember this being a free country...

its their life - let them live it in the way they choose! i think this whole anti-gay society is stupid...the only reason people have anything against those who are gay is that they can't handle the thought of gay sex, but according to jeff foxworthy, that's the reason they should be allowed to get married - they'll stop having sex. LOL! But seriously, people just need something to complain about and their "lucky" choice is the gay population...best wishes!!:)

I do not agree with the Gay lifestyle!!! I wonder if the women who thinks it's ok would take it up the rear like the gay men do. I know that the majority of them would not, and probably say "exit only". The ones that wouldn't do that and agree that it's alright is confusing for me. To me a person is not born that way. It is more of a mental illness or behavior problem. I have a 26 yr old son who is Gay. He doesn't work and basically lives off of other people. If he wants to be Gay and not work, that's his choice. He ended up bringing other guys in the house while I was working and having sex with them. I told him that was not aloud in my place and if he wanted to do that...he needed to get his own place. I gave him a choice and he continued to bring other guys in so I had to kick him out. He looks at me being unfair and that I hate him because he's Gay, but he can't see that I gave him a choice and he was the one that kicked himself out...not me. I explained to him that if he had a place and me and my girl came over to visit him we would not be all over each other in his home and it has nothing to do with sexuality, but it does have to do with respect!!! Everyone does have a choice whether or not that they want to be gay, I choose not to be. There are consequences to everything we do in life. Even though I don't agree with the gay lifestyle, I DON"T GAY BASH!!! If that's what they choose to be...so be it, but don't have one next to me guawking and drooling or hitting up on me, cause then they just crossed the line...and it comes down to respect!!! Once again...someone is not born Gay, it's a behavior/mental illness. If that was true and my father was an alcoholic...then if I get a DUI...I'll tell the judge it wasn't my fault, my father passed it down to me...I'm sure he'll understand. It is my fault and my choice to drink, not his. When Gay's say their born that way, it's just a cop out excuse for the behavior they chose. To me they should have the rights to just about anything, with the exception of marriage and being members of a church (to attend yes, but not membership).

I'm not gay but I think people shouldn't focus so hard on gays because there are other things out there people should be doing rather than telling a gay person their wrong and GOD doesn't approve of it! A sin is a sin so don't single out a gay person and your committing others sins your just as wrong as they are.

I imagine that if you are a religious person who holds the tales of the Bible/religous writings to high standings then you would not agree with same sex relationships.
IMHO, what people do in their bedrooms is their own business. I prefer not to see it nor hear about it.
I also believe they should allow same same sex partners all the rights "nongays" have.
Just my 2 cents.
