So that you can write all those checks to pay off your student loans to the schools that taught you how to be a good writer...kind of ironic, huh...

Every job you will have will require some form of writing.

Filling out a job application is the first thing you will need to do.

Where I work even our mechanics need wrting skills,
they have to write a description of the problem and what they did to fix it on their repair orders.

You have to write appealing resumes and cover letters to get a great job. Most jobs require some type of writing - paperwork. It helps you get ahead in business, whether it's grant writing or proposals of some kind. I have used my writing skills in almost every job I've ever had.

It is difficult to take people seriously when they cannot spell correctly or use proper grammar.
It is easy to assume that such people are not very intelligent.
