I am planning an outside wedding for next summer also, in July ( I know it is like the hottest month!), complete with fireworks and everything! It is a gamble, since you can't predict the weather, and wearing the heels that I originally had, are out! My friend had hers in a park, last year, and it was beautiful! All the girls in the wedding party (the bride included!) ditched their shoes at the last minute, and went barefoot! With the exception of the heat it was beautiful! I am having mine at the same park, except in the Botanical Gardens portion of it! GOOD LUCK, SWEETNESS! And congratulations! the best piece of advice that I can offer you is this: Your wedding is just a day, your marriage is the rest of your life! My ex-boss told me that when I was stressing, and it made me feel better, in other words don't sweat the small details! I hope this helps you!!!!
P.S. and tell your parents that a church is just a building, God is present everywhere! So it won't matter where the actually ceremony takes place!

It's your wedding. God lives both inside and outside of the church.

Do any local churches have a nice outdoor area? What about a local park. Now you are going to think this is totally insane, but I went to a wedding that took place in a cemetery. It was in a beautiful garden area. The bride and groom and their families agreed to it because all of their grandparents were buried there. It really wasn't;t morbid and everyone thought it was a loving thought. Are there any local monasteries?

I agree I think a summer wedding outside would be beautiful Church weddings are to common, you know when you change the scenery you can bring in more romance and be more versatile with your ideas and fantasy's. So go for what you want. Your the one that's gonna have to live with it,discuss it with your honey and see what he says!(good luck and con grads)!!!

there are a lot of factors to think about. not to scare you but you might pick a day when there's a thunderstorm. or it may be hot, depending on where you'll be getting married. you also have to look at cost. how much is it going to cost you to rent chairs for your guests to sit and spectate. where will you put your flowers, holders, etc? you must take everything into consideration and go from there. this is not to scare but to help you make the right decision because you want this day to be as memorable as you possibly can make it. you also do not want to have to be stressed out about it. good luck.
peace.

I think you should go with what you want. I am planning an outside wedding too, but afraid of rain or extremely hot weather. I think you will be disappointed with something other than what you want.

We had an outdoor wedding with our minister. We absolutely asked God to join us and bless our marriage. God is present everywhere...not just in churches.

By all means get married outside if that is what you want to do. Please make sure that there is a place for you to change.
There is enough bathrooms for your guest.
Electrical outlets, and a covered area area for older guest (if you are not getting a tent)
