The Vista Capable label is just something manufacturers are putting on their cases to tell people the computer can run Vista, thats all. Vista is a new operating system, so the chances are you'll need the full version to install it, which will format your drives in the process. This is often the better option anyway. It not often I've seen an upgrade work 100% correctly.

To be honest, I'd wait. Microsoft doesn't have a particularly good record for releasing bug free operating systems. Wait a year or so until things have settled down a bit.

I wouldn't upgrade for 6 months-year. Because at the beginning, Vista is going to be absolutely horrible. Plus, all you have to do is buy the upgrade, not the full thing. But if I were you, I would just hold out.

sure you will desire to do it... yet earlier you circulate placed money into doing it you will desire to contemplate whether it is going to reason you any issues. understand prematurely that some video games do unlike Vista... maximum video games will paintings wonderful on XP yet lots won't on Vista... anticipate to work out a overall performance shrink once you utilize Vista... Microsoft is common for including bells and whistles with little regard to the cpu cycles they consume and Vista is a working example on that... until eventually you will desire to alter do not do it... in case you prefer to alter, in simple terms wait awhile until eventually each and every of the bugs get worked out... interior the top ask your self shy Dell and HP are offering XP thoughts on new machines (not marketed yet nonetheless accessible).. it became into because of the fact companies tried and did not like Vista and became into prepared to alter to a various sort as a fashion to stay with XP rather of Vista... collectively as Vista has some exceptionally pics, the genuine question you will desire to respond to is what does it supply me i've got not got already got... if it would not enable you to circulate some thing which you would be unable to already do then do not change... even a great style of the stunning photograph junk that Microsoft is making use of to sell Vista is accessible from different application distributors as enhancemens to XP. the considerable's until eventually your activity calls so which you are able to exchange do not do it.

Vista IS NOT OUT YET!!!

You can get a BETA version from Microsoft, but DON'T!!!!

When it DOES come out next year, they'll tell you all about it, don't you worry!!! Anyway, I'd wait at least 6 months from the official release till they iron out the bugs as usual.

Take a look:
