You can transfer the plates, but not the registration, you'll have to register your car seperately. You can call the 800 number on the DMV website for more information. I transfered my personallized plates from one car to another, you just have to update the registration on your vehicle, and get different plates for the truck (if you are keeping it)

In Pennsylvania, you have to have a separate set of plates and registration for each vehicle. A car without registration or plates is considered abandoned if found on the street. I has to be garaged or parked on private property.

he can probably use the same plates, although state laws vary, but you cant transfer them back and fourth. you would have to sell or store the truck if he was going to drive the car.. you may get a rebate for the new registration, if there are still months left on the old one, but as I said states vary, so I cant be sure about that. just call your local d.m.v. and ask them

he can't because the truck is registered as a truck with different weight and the car is auto with auto weight. He can register the vehicles or transfers titles but that is transfering to another person

Most places give you some time to transfer the plates. You do have to go to the DMV and pay!

It's about the money!

It depends on the state you're in, but most state nowadays don't let you do this. You have to get new plates for any re-registration.

sure, I even have. My honda became into named Mr. Redd and my cutting-edge motor vehicle is termed Knight Rider. 1st became into actual and became into in line with what it became into. the 2nd became into tailor made and is in line with what it rather is achieved. the subsequent one would be Knight Rider Jr. youthful and quicker... the two autos have been solid to me different than for the Mr. Redd's final days, the tps & the wires became defective and it became right into a genuine worry attempting to get it fastened---so Mr. Redd had to retire :-( even nonetheless, Knight Rider continues to be going solid.

You failed to mention what state you were in. Some states allow this and some do not. I would type something in my browser that looked like this....

http://www.hawaii.state.gov or whatever your state is. The go from there.
