I have deleted Kazaa from my computer. I have did searches for any file with Kazaa in it and deleted it. It is no where to be found when I do searches on my computer. When I go to add remove programs it is still listed. When I try to remove it again I get an error message -6001. I have also noticed it takes other program icons. When I looked at Kazaa in the add remove in XP it has my ICQ icon, so I deleted ICQ and re-installed it. I then noticed it has my Email icon (incredimail). When trying to delete it says I should close any running programs, empty my temp files and check Internet connection (Internet-based setups). I have ran Norton antivirus and adware programs. Can someone please enlighten me.

That's because Kazaa is a spyware-ridden program.
Kazaa installs hundreds of instinces of its name into your system files, the best thing to remove the name is to go to your registry and do a cleansweap of everything in there. (go to Run>regedit.exe) It should be somewhere in your Microsoft>Windows>Programs folder inside the Registry.

Often derelected programs might show in the add/remove list with a different icon. The list might show a program (such as Kazza) after you uninstall it.
There was no need to uninstall ICQ, unfortunately. Removing entries from the add/remove list involves entering the registry - Run - Regedit.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Uninstall
This is where you can remove the Kazza entry.
The Kazza .msi installer program might still remain also.

The uninstall info for Kazza is probably still lurking around on your computer somewhere, but doesn't link to anything... hence the error when you click Remove. There are programs that can remove old/out of date uninstall info, such as Spybot S&D.

sometimes whilst the put in application isn't shown with get rid of button in upload/get rid of reveal. I suggestion you to seek for the un-installation/get rid of determination under application menu of the utility. i.e. start up-> Programmes-> AppName-> Uninstall. Or positioned the installation CD lower back, and run installation, the installation communication would have get rid of/Uninstall determination. it would be extra desirable in case you had point out the utility call, you have put in.
