You are using the wrong stylist!!! Find a stylist that knows what they are doing!! I have many clients with beautiful curly hair. Razor cutting is key to curly hair and before sitting in the chair there should always be a consultation so you both understand what you are looking for.
Good luck!

Because it's curly and tends to go in various directions. A highly skilled stylist can cut any type of hair. Shop around and be willing to pay for a quality cut.

That's what I'm saying. I have curly hair and have only found one person who can cut it well. She has curly hair. That's the key, find a hairdresser with curly hair, she will know how to deal with it better. Other hairdressers usually don't take into consideration that when your hair is wet it is longer, but when it dries the curls make it appear a lot shorter. So they usually cut more off than they should.

Because most of them can't even cut straight hair even or the proper way. I have straight hair and it's trashed because of hair stylist. I'm so done with salons. You don't use a razor on curly hair either, well, if you want frizzy hair then you do. Good luck.

Because it springs back up, to be on the safe side my stylists cuts my hair when it is blown out and straight, u have the chance of having very uneven hair if you cut it curly.

Because of the styling. When you dry it curly it shrinks up. So it needs to be cut longer than most people would assume. I have extremely curly hair and have found that having it in layers gives it style when its curly as well as when I straighten it.
