Absolutly if your home isn't over 85 degrees. Also put in covered glass bowl to keep out animals, bugs, dust etc. (Aluminum will give the SC a metalic taste)

To soften cream cheese quickly, put an 8oz pkg in the microwave and heat for 25-30 seconds. I've done it countless times and it has never had a negative impact on the quality.

It doesn't take cream cheese but a few minutes to come to room temp. I wouldn't leave it out overnight.

That would be okay - just put the cream cheese in a cool place in your kitchen and perhaps under a cold, damp towel. (leave the cheese in the foil wrapping of course!)

They'll be just fine.
As long as you haven't touched the cheese with any utensils that have touched meat (cooked or raw), they'll be perfectly safe to eat.
