I hope I will pass into another stage of being. I hope life is just a journey and there will be another one when this life is over, what ever that state of being will be.

I think I will be reborn eventually, but not immdiately. There are pauses in between lifetimes, could be 50 years or 500 years, or whatever other timeframe.

I don't know wether there will be a stop eventually. Some people think when you have learned enough and reached a certain level through numerous experiences (lifetimes), then eventually you will not be reborn again. I tend to believe that as well, because that makes the most sense to me.

You are either buried or cremated (or your carcASS is given to some medical school to make fun of it) OR you will cause a big, huge stink in the environment!

This is another one of those tired out questions that has been repeatedly asked and answered.

Can't you be a little more original or imaginative? Do you KNOW anyone personally who's been REALLY dead that can tell you? If not, why do you ask the living...? Go ask a dead person... !

I think I will be snuffed out, like a candle. I think I will be cremated, and rest in an urn on my daughter's mantle until she gets old, whereupon she'll spread my ashes on the ocean.

I'm happy with that, btw.

I belong to a culture that cremates dead bodies. When I die , the matters of which my body is composed of do not die . They are only decomposing . They being made of compounds of elements of different kinds like carbon ,hydrogen , nitrogen , sulphur , oxygen , calcium , sodium , magnesium etc etc in various quantities and in trace amounts of gold , silver , zinc, chromium etc etc, If my body is burried , the decomposing flesh would be eaten by worms and they would be finally digested by the earth and the elements would get back to the earth from where they were taken by the food materials my mom ate while I was in the womb and fed me with her blood and later I ate and assimilated into my body. The rains would dissolve the soluble elments and mix them with the soil and form them into humus and then they might be absorbed by the roots of grass and other herbs and shrubs and trees also . Some elements might remain in the soil itself for millions or billions of years or in the event of the earth being swallowed by the sun while forming into a red giant those remaining elements of my body would also be swallowed by the sun and turned in to the black hole and afer some thousands of eons , the black hole might explode in a BiG Bang and re-create the universe and my elments would also get into some plants or remain in th sun or in some star that might be formed , depending upon the positon at the time of the Big Bang . But one thing is sure that none of the matter would get destroyed by any of these processes and the elements woud be very much alive with their atoms functioning as vigorously as they were ever before as matter does not die and no water can wet the electron in the atom and no fire can destroy the electron and proton of any atom of any element in any matter in the universe .So my bodily elements would be immortal and I would never be dying .The soul ,that was seen to be active while I was alive could have ceased to exist as it is only a manifestaion of the action of the mattter .It was like the charge of a battery cell .when the battery gets discharged the charge does not go and reside in anything else . It goes only where the flame that is burning at the end of a match stick goes when it is put out .
Just as we are fooling ourselves every day by looking at the sky and thinking that the sky is a blue vault over the earth . whereas it is nothing and the blue colour is not of any object or vault; but only the dispersal of the light of the sun in the dense atmosphere of gases . We think that what is not existing as something really existing . So also we think and really see that the sun is going around the earth. But really it is the earth that is spinning around its own axis and moving around the Sun,. We dso not see what is really happening ; what is true . But we see what is not present and we do not see what is happening ., That is why the Hindu philosophy says that the universe is nothing but a" Maya" - a false vision - a magic of the supreme self .
The recycling of the elements of the body is the re-incarnation in to several forms and into several beings. .The Hindus do not believe in resurrection , but in reincarnation only . The re-incarnation need not necessarily be in one paricular thing , being or creature of plant .It might be in so many thngs. Just as the broken glasses of a large numer of things are put together in a furnace and melted and recycled into freah glass and made into several new things and just as we can not say which particular thing has gone into the making of any paticular thing . In fact the several pieces of one particular jar could have gojne into the making of a large numberof new glass- wares after recycling .The fate of the matters of which the bodies of humans is also much like the same.
So in my case my body would be burnt into ashes and the ashes would get dissoved in some rivers and the sea. , Some ashes woud get into the sea and some creatures of the sea and the sea bed , some might be left in the burning ghat itself in the bed where the body is burnt and some migh get in to the river and into some fishes and some might get into the drinking water and some might get into the water irrigating some fields and plants . So my re-incarnation might be in very many things . Or if I am lucky I might remain dormant in the soil without getting into anything till the earth gets annhilated and sent in to a black hole and re-made into some planet or star. If I get into some star , I shall be shinng over you if you happen to be somewhere in the vicinity visible to me and My destiny would be one of being unborn again. , The Mukthi stage of the Hindu philosophy - a state of merger with the God and remaining unborn again and free from the cyles of birth and death.
This is the philsosphy behind some good souls being described as ascending to the heaven and made into stars. The star" "Duruva" and "Arundhathi" are said to be some of the good souls having been made in to stars .

Maybe you should read what is said at that site and see if it goes with the bible account. If it does, accept it and if not, don't. I believe what the bible says about it

I think we will see other spirits that know us and they will take us to where the pearly white gates are to be judged and given our eternal rewards and consequences.
