I assume you mean semen as in sperm. So here goes.

Sperm (the part of semen that counts) can live quite a while outside of the body. As long as 72 hours as long as it is moist. This includes on your clothes or skin or any surface.

Inside of the body it can last for five or more days.

It can be frozen and kept for years by cryogenic. This is how sperm banks keep it until they use it.

If you're referring to sailors, the question would be more appropriately asked ... how long can they last without being exposed to air.

If you're referring to the genetic material, which is spelled differently, than I would imagine as soon as it's dry...it's all over for the little swimmers.
