i don't think god exists because he is all knowing but that would imply that he knows whats going to happen in the future but that's impossible because that would mean we have preset destiny's but we cant have preset destiny's because that would mean that we don't have free will and that would mean that life is completely pointless

Vedic sastra states that the Supreme Absolute or God is all knowing, omniscient and unlimited, not only in quantity but also qualities, that Supreme personality is aware of exactly where you will be at any time unlimitedly in the future, who you will be married to, how many children you will have, how many sub-atomic particles will exist in the form that you possess at any given time.

So it is already known by the Supreme person, what decisions you will make before you make them, eternally, this is applicable unlimitedly to every living entity. What is considered impossible for the individual soul, is possible in unlimited ways for the Supreme.

To draw a conclusion that negates the process of freewill, is rejected, because the individual soul or self, within the human form of life does have the freedom to make a choice between living a spiritual or worldly life, without choice there can be no free will.

The material world is similar to being "quarantined" due to misuse of free will, whilst in this "quarantined" position, many great spiritual teachers are sent and sometimes the Supreme comes also, to attract us back to the Spiritual world, this choice we have to make and it is this choice that is available to us whilst within the human form.

So do you want to remain in this material world of continual birth and death or return back home, back to Godhead? the fact that the Supreme person, knows what you will do before you do it, does not negate the fact that you will make the choice.

It's in the Bible more than once, God said, I am the Alpha & the Omega, the beginning and the end.

When we are all born we are given free will, meaning we are able to make the choices we do in life. You are trying to say God don't exist by science. Well, the things God does are way beyond our human comprehension. Your trying to say that he don't exist by trying to reason with logic, but God is so way beyond that. I have faith in God, and I have never seen him. My belief is by faith of things not seen.

Jesus died on the cross to bear the sins of this world. And he loves you so much that he took your place.

Life has purpose. And I know what mine is. Because if life was completly pointless why would we even be on the earth or alive if our lives were pointless?

Read the book, The Purpose Driven Life, you should be able to find it in most bookstores.

I pray that you will learn the truth about what God's purpose for you is.

Take care and God Bless.

I can't prove you wrong because you are saying that is why you believe there is no God and this is true that is Way you don't believe. But is that a good reason for disbelief? No God is Omnipotent but we are not. The fact that God lives in the present and in the future at the same time in no way implies that YOU do not have free will. the fact that God knows what your decisions were and are has nothing to do with your ability to make a decision. Whether God knows your decisions before you make them or not does not in any way prevent you from making your own decision.

You not taking in account the ammount of information you are able to percept. There are things that just would not fit in your mind while God perfectly see them.
God lives in no time, past, present , future everything is open to Him at once. You can not surprise Him, He is above everything. And hey, the proof of His existance, that you would not able to deny when you face Him one day, would be you-yourself and His creation that you can see around you.
What part of your logic says you were evolved from nothing? That's what science say if you carefully study it. To me that's a nonsence.
And we are not going to convince you that God exist, you would not believe now, you have preset your mind to what you think and closed your heart. So stick to it, we only can pray for you untill the day your blindness go away.

Personally, I am agnostic -- and don't really care if God exists.

But I do question your logic.

1. Why does God have to be all knowing? Why can't he just be powerful?

2. If we know what is going to happen in the future, why does that mean that there is no free will? If I walked up to Jesse Jackson and asked him if he believed that Jesus is God -- he would say "Yes." I know that would happen for sure, yet I don't see that it implies that he has no free will.

3. If something has no free will, why is its existence pointless? My toilet has no free will -- yet it serves a purpose. Perhaps there is a God who views us in much the same way as I view my toilet.

yes, revelations gives us a bit of what is going to happen. yes, God knows what is going on-----remember, "our destiny and "our freewill is not really "ours", without God there is nothing. It all belongs to God so giving our souls to God is giving us life and not the earthly kind if you know what I mean.. so life is pointless? that would be terrible if it was all pointless. Nothing is further from the truth--you just have to have faith and believe and read God's word and live by God's laws...it doesnt matter if I or anyone try to prove you worng, it is only up to YOU to find the truth... I hope you do for your salvation-- God bless

It is amazing how it’s human nature to assume that because we believe or don’t believe something, that makes it true. Some may not believe in the law of gravity, and may feel they have "evidence" to back up their belief. However, gravity exists whether they believe in it or not. The truth is, God is knowable. Jesus testified, "And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3). We not only have the testimony of the Scriptures to tell us this, but we have the testimony of multitudes of Christians who know the Lord personally. It is more truthful to say, "I don’t want to know God." Sinful man runs from Him as did Adam in the garden of Eden

God gave us a choice to choose heaven or hell.

If man is in total control of his future, then he should at least be in control of his own body. Instead, he is subject to involuntary yawning, sneezing, breathing, swallowing, sleeping, salivating, dreaming, blinking, and thinking. He can’t even control hair and nail growth. He automatically does these things, irrespective of his will. God has set his body in motion and there is little he can do about it. He also has minimal control over his daily bodily functions. His kidneys, bladder, intestines, heart, liver, lungs, etc., work independently of his will. It is ludicrous to say that man controls his future when he has trouble predicting the stock market, political outcomes, earthquakes, and even the weather, let alone having control over these things.

God does exist, He does know what is going to happen, our lives are preordained before the beginning of time, we are free to do what we will (this does not negate the prior statement) and the whole point of life is to glorify God and worship Him forever. No one ever said there wasn't some mystery involved. Faith, man, faith.

God knows what each of us will decide with our free will, but just because He knows before we decide doesn't mean He makes us decide it.

Now, you have a belief that God doesn't exist, that makes you an atheist. Your belief has no proof, so it is a faith-based belief, that makes it a religion. So, I'll ask you what atheists ask us Christians.

Prove your religion is right in its beliefs.

I say you'll fail miserably.
