She will hide and act funny. Cats go through contrations just like humans do. When my cat had kittens she wanted to be around me alot and meowed small meows and layed on her side. you can just tell.. make a comfortable spot for her when she gets really big or keep her confined in a open room with a bedding for her. Animals kinda have to do there thing. It would be good to get her fixed afterwards so she dont keep having babies.

To all those people who had a go at the question asker for not getting her cat spayed, you have no idea of the circumstances. I guess you'd say the same thing to me but we rescued her off the street and she was pregnant.

As for asking the vet, well we did that he all he could tell us was "2-4 weeks". That was 2 weeks ago.

Question asker - good luck with your kittens. We know what you are going through. We are hoping any day now because she is passing wind badly every few minutes and she's so big, she can't lick her bottom and we have to wash it for her every day.

The gestation period of the cat is 63 days. If you know when she was bred, you can figure out her due date, but she should start hunting a dark, quiet place 2 or 3 days prior to giving birth. Though that isn't always true...but if you could try a box in your closet with something you have worn (like an old shirt) and introduce her to that. Good luck, and think about having her neutered...

you should make a birthing box for her. Cats like to give birth in dark concealed places. You won't exactly know when she is going to give birth until you see a kitten or two laying by her. When she does give birth, each kitten will come out with a membrane around them, the mother is suppose to clean it off and eat the membrane then clean the kitten. If she does not, you may need to help her by removing the membrane. Do not do it unless the kitten does not break free or the mom doesn't remove it. It will help the kitten strengthen naturally from birth.

There is about a 63 day gestation. Believe me, you'll know when she's ready. If she is an inside cat, she'll be telling you and wanting you to DO something. Have a spot ready for her and show her where it is. Tell her she can have her babies "right here."

A cat's gestation period ie 63 days. If you know when she got pregnant, it'll be easy. Also, when she starts "nesting" or creating a good spot to give birth, she's a couple days away and should be discouraged from going outside.

If you know the exact day she get pregnant its 9 weeks or 63-65 days. If you don't then when she first begins to get big, when you see her body expanding its usually 3 weeks after that, give or take a few days either way. Good Luck

If she is an ourdoor cat she will find a box or somewhere she feels safe and secure,if she is an indoor cat she will start to nest and spot but normally will have the kittens in a place she feels safe and secure

Every cat is different. But my expetience with my cat was, she started chewing on her nipples to toughen them up. Also, about one or two days before labor started, she started to follow everyone in the house around. Finally she sarted to bleed a tiny bit.

When the time comes, and she starts panting....do not touch her...she may bite you!
