If Christian country's are so peaceful, how come they have the most WMD's?

Why do you say that Christian countries have the most WMD's? They say they do these things for God and Christianity but none of that is true are you all so blind or just stupid? Nowhere in the New testament does it say to fight or destroy your enemies. Does Jesus not say "Those who live by the sword, shall die by it" or what about turning the other cheek? people who have done things in the past or present claiming to do it in the name of God (such as the crusades) had their own motives and used the name of God as a disguise to carry out their own plans. Do not confuse the evil they did to drag the name of God through the dirt. For Christ said "In the last day they will come to me and say, but Lord did we not in your name prophesy and cast devils out? And I will reply "get away from me ye that work iniquity, for I do not know you".

If there was no religion, i guarantee you that wars would still be fought but for other purposes. It is almost human nature. Before Christianity and islam they use to fight over land, cattle, sheep, just about anything. so i have to strongly disagree with those who say that religion is the cause of war.

I will happily argue that although America is strongly Christian influenced, it goes out of its way to have a secular government most of the time. I am an atheist for some background, and I don't see any direct Christian dogma in the law. I am sure most fellow non-believers will argue that point.

That said, I believe in peace through superior firepower. I don't want to start the next war, but I sure want to win it. The reason we have the most is largely due to the fact that we were in a cold war for so long. We won that by making so many and the Russians were smart enough to realize that if we were pushed hard enough we would use them. In the end they could not keep up with our production and technology.

I reckon the nuke is the real thing, in a freaky way they saved a lot of lives in the cold war.

Firing them at each other won't do anyone any favours any where on the planet, but it is a branch of science that needs to be advanced, but for the right reasons.
