If you have no motivation to quit on your own; then see a doctor for a detox program. Driving while on the influence of pot is like driving around with a loaded weapon. Ask yourself would you want someone drunk or under the influence of drugs to kill your loved ones. Or what if you get pulled over and the cop smells the scent of pot, can you live without a car. If you get into a bad car accident; a urine drug test will be performed at the hospital. I'm a doctor and I have treated many who have been using drugs since they are teenagers; and let me tell you they have very little brain cells left. Use all that money you spend on pot and join a gym or take up a hobby. Spend it on your woman. Good luck

Eliminate the factors/cues that make you smoke weed. For example, if you have a friend that smokes a lot of weed, stop hanging out with that friend. If you have pipes/bongs, give them away/throw them away. If you have a song that makes you toke up, stop listening to it. You get the idea. It may sound harsh, but it works.

Marijuana/Narcotics anonymous classes are not very effective unless you are completely dedicated, but if u'd like to take that route, it's worth a shot.

You need to find things to do that will take up your time and you won't be able to smoke. I have been in your position, and still smoke to this day but alot less. I'm so hapy to save the money that I do now, and I actually get stuff done.
First you need to get a job if you don't have one already. Work as many hours as you can handle.. you won't be able to smoke at work and you will be making money too! Second, have less contact with friends that sit around and smoke all night.. do something instead. Sign up for classes at school or classes somewhere. These ideas may not sound like fun to you but they are things I have found I enjoy to use up time: learn to cook or bake foods, go to the library and find books that fascinate you, go shopping, go to the gym, go on walks, sign up for a yoga or alternative exercise course, Anything to get you out of your house and doing something that you can't smoke. Never smoke in your car. This is too convenient and you will do it while driving on your way to places. Your car will smell much better and you'll save it from smoke damage, burn holes, and losing your license if you get pulled over. Another suggestion, force yourself to set up volunteer times, then you'll go and really enjoy yourself. You can also do thingslike donate blood or plasma (for money), and that will take up more time. The more time you spend being busy, the less time you will have to sit at home and get high. You will also want to use the time you do have at home to do things like clean and cook or do bills so those become priority over smoking. pretty soon you will be able to go the whole day without smoking because you are simply too busy and have other responsibilities. you also learn to like who you are and find out your interests. there is so much out there in the world to do! I suggest you start out by waking up and writing out some goals each day that you want to accomplish. they can be as simple as cleaning a room, cooking dinner, mailing some papers, or whatever. make about 5-6 things you HAVE to get done and then start checking them off as you go. you will have motivation to start doing things instead of smoke good luck

I used to think that my boyfriend had the same problem. he would be stoned 24/7 but you know what i guess he kinda got tired of it. Isnt it frustrating that you cant think clearly? Try to only limit you self to a certain amount at first. Like only buy an eighth for the week.. like make sure that it lasts then when you are comfortable with that then slow down to a gram. trust me he did it! you can do it!! plus think of all the money you will save!!

It sounds like your problem is greed. You are hogging it all for yourself. Learn to share. Take some of your weed to the nearest police station, sheriff's department, or FBI field office and offer some to the people you find there. I'm sure they will appreciate your generosity.

I was once a MAJOR pothead. This sounds corny, but I got involved in church and prayed for God to help me to stop getting high. I just didn't want to do it anymore. Plus, I don't think my probation officer would approve....
