Due to the large size of the heads on pug puppies they frequently have trouble delivering them. Responsible, experienced breeders of pugs have a vet waiting on standby to do a c-section at the onset of labor. If the pug is in labor call the vet's office and let them know. Get the dog to the vet at the first sign of any difficulty. If the pug has some time before the pups are due contact a vet ahead of time and make sure he/she will be prepared to handle emergency surgery if necessary when labor starts.

Why in the world would you ever need tools to help a dog give birth? A hammer? Either you are pulling someones leg or you are completely weird....The pug will birth the process herself hopefully without any more complications than she already has which is supposed to not be the master giving her complications...Sorry, I like dogs.

It is a PUG! What you will need is a trip to your Vet for a
c-section, Pugs are not natural whelpers. You should have had your Vet on call and had a c-section scheduled right before her due date.

pugs give birth just like humans and cats do---just put a towel under the pug, and let nature take its course, but try not to touch the baby just like if it was a newborn cat.
